Spain stay top of FIFA rankings

World and European champions Spain have retained their place at the top of the FIFA rankings.

The world governing body has published the latest list of where nations stand and there has been no change of position within the top five.

Spain still lead the way, with Germany, Argentina, Portugal and Colombia trailing behind.

Uruguay have moved up to sixth, swapping places with Switzerland, while Belgium have entered the top 10 at the expense of the Netherlands, who move to 11th.

The Netherlands are the highest ranked of Spain’s World Cup 2014 group stage opponents, with Chile at 15th and Australia 63rd.

FIFA will release the next update on April 10.
