Pizzi: Valencia can win Europa League

Valencia Coach Juan Antonio Pizzi believes Los Che can go all the way in the Europa League this season.

Pizzi’s team meet Ludogorets on Thursday and speaking at a pre-match Press conference, Pizzi said that while Valencia can’t take the Bulgarians lightly, they can achieve great things in the competition.

“We want to go as far as we possibly can,” Pizzi said.

“We know it will be difficult because there can only be one champion but nobody can tell us we can’t win the Europa League.

“We’ve come this far and there are difficult games to come,” Pizzi continued.

“The truth is every game on a Thursday is complicated but we’ll maintain our enthusiasm to win the trophy for as long as we’re in the competition.”

Pizzi did though insist that he wasn’t looking past Ludogorets, particularly after they knocked out Lazio in the last round.

“They’ve only been going 10 or 12 years but they’ve spent five or six of them in the top division,” Pizzi added regarding Ludogorets.

“They’re won the last two titles and they’re top of the League.

“We are at a disadvantage because we don’t know a lot about their players so we need to pass as much information to our players as possible.

“We’ve followed their progress, especially against Lazio, and have the utmost respect for our opponent. They’ve not achieved what they have by chance.”
