Line-ups: Spain-Italy

Diego Costa wins his first cap for Spain with Javi Martinez starting in defence for Vicente Del Bosque’s side.

Costa leads the attack in front of an attacking trio all from Barcelona – Pedro, Cesc Fabregas and Andres Iniesta.

The Barca theme continues further back with Sergio Busquets and former Barca player Thiago Alcantara, now of Bayern Munich, in midfield

Iker Casillas keeps his place in goal despite being unable dislodge Diego Lopez from the Real Madrid side and Cesar Azpilicueta starts at right back in a defence that partners Martinez and Sergio Ramos. Jordi Alba gets the left back berth.

Italy name Gianluigi Buffon in goal and a back four of Christian Maggio, Gabriel Paletta, Andrea Barzagli and Domenico Criscito.

Cesare Prandelli’s midfield teams Claudio Marchisio, Thiago Motta and Ricardo Montolivo, while Antonio Candreva, Dani Osvaldo and Alessandro Cerci make up a three-pronged attack.
