Reports in the Spanish Press suggest that Diego Costa will start against Italy on Wednesday, but a trio of regulars will miss out.
Xavi, Cesc Fabregas and Sergio Ramos all missed Monday’s training session with slight knocks, and AS claim that the triumvirate are likely to be on the bench.
Costa however, is expected to be given his La Roja debut at Vicente Calderon, partnering Andres Iniesta and Pedro up front.
Iker Casillas is likely to be in goal, with Juanfran, Napoli’s Raul Albiol, Javi Martinez and Jordi Alba at the back.
Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich will be represented in midfield by Sergio Busquets, Xabi Alonso and Thiago, respectively.
