Busquets: Not Barca’s best

Sergio Busquets has admitted Barcelona were a little sluggish in beating Almeria 4-1 on Sunday night.

Goals from Alexis Sanchez, Lionel Messi, Carles Puyol and Xavi Hernandez gave the result gloss but for much of the evening the Catalans toiled – and conceded another goal to a set piece.

“It was not our best game,” Busquets told Canal+ after the final whistle.

“There are good things and things we need to improve on, but we leave for our mini-break in a good mood.”

Busquets added that Barca’s set piece vulnerability is something they want to correct, but might not be able to.

“We need to stop players from scoring in aerial duels, but we’re not very tall. It’s not our strong point.

“But we’re a little closer to the leader.”

Barca are now second in La Liga after the 2-2 draw in the Madrid derby.
