Adriano on focus, Madrid and Neymar

Adriano has claimed that Barcelona have to forget any off-field issues and focus purely on footballing matters.

The Blaugrana have been splashed across the papers in the past few months, with the controversy surrounding Neymar’s transfer and news that Tata Martino may quit at the end of the season.

The Brazilian defender however, has urged his men to concentrate on the pitch, with the title race hotting up.

“We have to concentrate on playing football,” he told a Press conference.

“For things off the pitch there is the board of directors. We have to be united and carry on doing what we know, which is playing football, and hopefully things will continue to go well.

“[Real Madrid] hold no fear for us, we also played very well against City when people doubted us.

“We had a good game. They scored six goals with the football they play, which is not easy, although people may say Schalke are not at the same level as Madrid.

“I always try to look at it in a positive light, to improve. We know where we have to improve. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.”

The Selecao international then commented on how his international teammate Neymar is getting on at Camp Nou.

“As a friend he’s better every day. He was more worried about his injury than anything else.

“Every day he’s focusing on being 100 per cent and helping the team, and we need him. He’s upbeat and happy. He’s always like that.”
