Ancelotti: Jese can go to World Cup

Carlo Ancelotti has refused to rule out the possibility of Jese going to the World Cup with Spain.

The young forward has been one of the revelations of the campaign, forcing his way into the Italian’s starting XI.

And the Coach has conceded that the 20-year-old has the quality to represent La Roja in Brazil.

“My staff have worked for seven months to build a solid base,” he told Canal +. “We’ve built the house, now we have to decorate it.

“There are examples of players like him who have had good season and have gone on to have a great World Cup.”

Ancelotti then commented on what it would mean to win the Champions League this season, and rivals Tata Martino and Diego Simeone.

“Martino is doing very well at Barcelona. I really like how he talks, [he’s] always calm, he’s a lot like me.

“He doesn’t look for controversy, he does the best for his team.

“Atlético are like Simeone was as a player, a solid team that gives its all in every game and is in it together.

“The fans want to hear talk of trophies. And the Champions League is an obsession for me.

“La Décima’ is a word that you don’t stop hearing, it’s a huge source of motivation for everyone.”
