Spain to learn Euro 2016 opponents

Defending European champions Spain will learn on Sunday who they will face in qualification for Euro 2016.

The draw takes place in Nice on Sunday morning and La Roja are in the first pot of seeds.

Belgium are perhaps the most dangerous potential opposition in the second pot, which also includes Ukraine, Croatia and Sweden.

Serbia and Turkey represent pot three’s most dangerous sides with Montenegro arguably the side to avoid in pot four and Iceland a threat in pot 5.

Pot six includes the minnows of UEFA, including Gibraltar who, due to political tensions between the countries, will be kept away from Spain.

France, the hosts, will be included in the draw but their games will be counted as friendlies and have no bearing on qualification.

The first qualifiers take place on September 7, with the final rounds coming on October 13 2015.
