Spain Coach Vicente Del Bosque has urged caution over talk of a senior call-up for Real Madrid’s Jese.
The youngster’s form for Los Blancos has led to suggestions he will be included in the squad for the summer’s World Cup but Del Bosque insists it’s too early to decide.
“Jese has been watched since youth level,” Del Bosque told AS.
“He’s playing great for Madrid and deserves to be there.
“But I have to do the 23 for the World Cup in the future. Let’s see what happens in the next four months.”
Del Bosque added that anyone who claims to know how he will decide one way or the other is wrong, since he has yet to make up his mind.
“I don’t understand those who say one thing or the opposite, even without asking or talking to me.
“Whoever says ‘he will not take Jese’ is phenomenon because I know that I have not told anyone in my head.
“The same goes for anyone who says otherwise.”
