Schuster savouring ‘amazing atmosphere’

Malaga boss Bernd Schuster is looking forward to the match with Sevilla, claiming that there will be an ‘amazing atmosphere’.

The Costa del Sol outfit host the Rojiblancos at La Rosaleda this evening, but the German Coach knows that the crowd will have to act as their 12th man.

“It’s going to be an amazing atmosphere, which is what the game will need tomorrow. I hope the fans’ support makes a real difference in our home match.

“They’re a difficult team to beat.  The quality of the players and their style of game play is similar to that of Valencia CF.

“We need to be careful of certain things, Rakitic is the brain of the team and everything tends to land at his feet.

“We’ll see whether they decide to play with one or two players upfront, but there’s no need to panic.

“We need to keep working hard as we have been doing, have luck on our side in attack and take extra care in set pieces.”

Schuster then commented on new additions Amrabat and El Hamdaoui: “They’re both match-fit and ready to be a part of the team, however the choice of formation is another matter.

“I’m pleased we’ve got another two players available which will help us tomorrow.”

Schuster explained why he doesn’t pay attention to the League table.

“The relegation zone will be decided in May, not tomorrow. We’ll be trying our hardest to win on Saturday, and if we can’t, then we’ll focus on a draw.

“The most important thing is not to lose, especially at home, and make sure our confidence as a team returns.

“Despite the results, I can see that the players really believe in the team, and always put on a determined performance in every game, and will do so again tomorrow.”
