Marc Bartra has signed a contract extension with Barcelona, keeping him at the Catalan club until 2017.
Under his existing deal, the 23-year-old had been free to move to another club in June. But on his birthday, the Blaugrana have confirmed that the defender has put pen-to-paper on an extension.
The Spain international had been linked with a switch to several top European sides in the summer, but has quashed those rumours by signing the deal.
Bartra stays at Camp Nou until 2017, but his new contract has a release clause of €25m.
