Bartra: Barca were in control

Marc Bartra believes Barcelona were always in control against BATE Borisov and Neymar has found his place in the side with Lionel Messi missing.

Neymar created both Barca goals – and both were converted by Ivan Rakitic – as Barca saw off the Belarussians in a one-sided encounter.

“We knew there is no easy match in Europe. We could have had more control, with vigilance in defence,” Bartra said, AS reports.

“Dani Alves, Javier Mascherano and Jordi Alba helped us and that suits us. We’re top of the group. We had a sense of security and we controlled the match.

“It was hard to get the goal, but were played seriously. That’s the way.

“Maybe Neymar has found his role to be more involved with Messi injured. But having players like Neymar and Luis Suarez, it’s important to pull together.”
