Barcelona striker Pedro believes the Catalans need to take things one step at a time over the next few months.
La Blaugrana currently sit top of La Liga on goal difference from Atletico Madrid and face a tricky tie against Manchester City in the Last 16 of the Champions League when the competition starts again in late February.
Although Barca began 2014 with a convincing 4-0 victory over Elche thanks to a hat-trick from Alexis Sanchez and a goal from Pedro, the Spanish international is urging caution.
“We played a good match from the start and I’m happy that I’m scoring goals and helping the team,” he told the club’s official website.
“But we have five difficult months ahead and need to be at our best level. We play Atleti next week but we need to take things one step at a time…they are a difficult opponent.”
