Bernd Schuster thought his Malaga team deserved to draw with Atletico Madrid this afternoon.
The Costa del Sol outfit lost 1-0 to the capital club thanks to a late goal from Koke. And the German Coach has claimed that his side were worth a point.
“After everything we’ve done today there were times when we deserved a draw,” he told a Press conference.
“Atleti are far above us, so we knew we would have to play a superb game to win. We controlled the game though, for periods.
“I thought we could hold out for the draw, but it wasn’t to be.
“They are a strong candidate for the title. I’m sure everyone’s looking forward to their game against Barcelona.”
