Jefferson Farfan has reflected that Schalke are keen to be fully prepared to face Real Madrid in the Champions League ‘as equals’.
February next year will see the Bundesliga outfit encounter Los Blancos in the Last 16 of the Champions League, with Madrid seen as favourites for the tie.
“They will be a tough opponent, but to me it is a nice opportunity to face them,” Schalke’s Farfan has mused this week.
“We hope to prepare very well to cope with this game in the utmost seriousness. We want to play them as equals.”
