Unai Emery admitted that his Sevilla side’s 2-1 win over Villarreal was ‘very important’ as they go into the Christmas break.
The Rojiblancos beat the Yellow Submarine at El Madrigal thanks to goals from Carlos Bacca and Cala this afternoon.
“We had a painful start to the season,” he told a Press conference. “But now we’re starting to find our feet.
“This victory was a very important one. Our confidence has been increased, but we have to take it step by step.
“We had a lot of respect for Villarreal – they have had a defined style for a long time now.
“I was pleased with how we played though. There are areas in our team that a strong, but there are also things we have to work on.”
