Unai Emery has asked ‘for forgiveness’ after Sevilla lost 2-0 to Racing Santander on Wednesday evening.
The Rojiblancos went down 2-0 against the lower league side, and crashed out of the competition after only winning the first leg 1-0.
“We knew it was going to be a difficult game, and we fell into their trap,” he told a Press conference.
“It makes me sad for Sevilla and for the fans.
“We have to apologise to the supporters and move on. I want to ask for their forgiveness.”
