Simeone wary of ‘balanced’ Valencia

Diego Simeone has insisted that Valencia are good enough to ‘pick up points’ anywhere in the League.

Atletico Madrid host Los Che this evening, looking for the three points that could take them level with Barcelona at the top of the table.

But the Argentine tactician has conceded that Miroslav Djukic’s men will be a difficult opponent.

“They have found more balance and that gives them a chance to start scoring goals and picking up points,” he told a Press conference.

“We expect a team from midfield onwards with very good players, very good out wide and many options in between the lines.

“When a team has many good players you have to pay attention because they are obviously dangerous.

“They play well down the wings and attack very well, they’re very sharp. They have players like Feghouli in the channels or arriving very well when attacking from deep.

“Hiding is not what Atletico Madrid are about and we try to be fair and realistic, which is to live each day as if it were the last.

“It is the line that we have followed since we arrived.

“Based on the work we have done so far, the team has done well. What has pleased me most is that the team has responded very well to the parts and that's good for the group.

“When players are always looking to find a hole in the side we can be competitive and that suits us all.”
