Malaga boss Bernd Schuster praised his side for showing ‘great strength’ as they overcame Getafe on Saturday.
Roque Santa Cruz scored a 75th minute winner to give the Costa del Sol outfit all three points at La Rosaleda.
“We all needed a win, particularly a home win, following our recent run of results,” he told a Press conference.
“The team put on such a strong performance and showed a great strength in order to get this victory.
“I think we maintained good control over Getafe, as they’ve got three or four quality players that could have caused a lot of trouble for us.
“I’m over the moon at this result, we didn’t concede a goal and weren’t in any real danger at all in this game.
“I was confident that a goal would come sooner or later.”
