One of Angel di Maria’s agents has commented on interest in the Real Madrid player and hinted at a ‘presidential theme’ to his situation.
The Argentine is seen as increasingly unhappy at the Santiago Bernabeu, having slipped out of regular first team use under Carlo Ancelotti amid Gareth Bale’s continued rise.
One of the player’s representatives has this week commented on the situation and on links with a move away – Monaco are said to be keen on the 25-year-old.
“Angel has a contract until 2018. Many clubs are interested in him,” Eugenio Lopez has told La Red this week.
“There is a presidential theme, I do not want to talk about that.”
Speculation has been that Di Maria’s relationship with Florentino Perez is almost non-existent.
