Willy: Malaga not consistent

Malaga goalkeeper Willy Caballero has admitted that the Coast del Sol outfit are consistent enough.

The Boquerones have endured a tough start to the season under German Coach Bernd Schuster.

But the shot-stopper has claimed he is confident that his men can turn their fortunes around.

“The results aren’t helping us follow a line. We have good first haves but then we’re not being consistent,” he told a Press conference.

“We’re conceding lots of goals and I’m the main one to blame for that. In terms of morale, the team’s not in a good place for having let in those three goals.

“The problem could be down to lots of issues – but it’s not a physical thing, perhaps it’s that we’re not defending as well as we should, and we certainly can’t put anything down to the younger guys.”

Willy is hoping to get three points on Saturday against Getafe.

“We have to end the year winning at home. Against Getafe there are more than just three points at stake.

“Considering how badly we’re doing we should be in the drop zone and we have to win as the home side to never allow ourselves to be in those positions.

“We owe it to them – if the fans aren’t happy, the problem’s us.”
