Cuadrado denies Barca contact

Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado has scotched rumours that have linked him with a move to Barcelona in the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old winger[pictured, right] has been earning rave reviews in Seria A this season and featured in all his club’s games, scoring four goals and providing several assists.

His form has reportedly attracted interest from the Catalans but Cuadrado insists he has had no contact with the Spanish giants.

“Barcelona interest? I’ve had no contact the Fiorentina have said nothing to me,” the Colombian international told el9.cat.

“Every players works to progress and play for big teams, but my mind tells me Fiorentina and I’m very happy here.

“We’ll see what happens in the future but I’m only thinking of working hard and developing because I still have room for improvement.”

Cuadrado has been likened in the Italian media to former Milan and Barcelona star Ronaldinho, but rejects the comparisons.

“I’d like to have just half of his qualities. We are very different footballers,” he maintained.
