Malaga to return to Husillos?

Malaga are reportedly keen to wrap up their search for a new sporting director as soon as possible, and it may end with the return of Mario Husillos.

Husillos, who was hired by the club as sporting director 18 months ago at the recommendation of then-Coach Manuel Pellegrini, was surprisingly let go from the position over the summer.

However, with CEO Vicente Casado believed keen to fill the vacancy as soon as the club can, the Argentine is listed as one of a handful of possible candidates.

The Costa del Sol outfit are reported as after a candidate who is familiar with the club, has a broad knowledge of the international market and is proficient in English and for these reasons they are seen to have Husillos on their mind.

It is understood that the Anchovies have already contacted the 54-year-old over the possibility of his return to the club, but they have not yet had a definitive answer.
