Diego Simeone is aware that his Atletico Madrid side face a tough game this weekend against Elche.

The capital club face the promoted club on Saturday afternoon, but go into the game after a long away trip to Zenit St Petersburg in the Champions League.

“It’s going to be hard for us,” he told a Press conference. “Elche are a good team with a Coach who gets the best out of his players.

“It’s going to be a completely different match to Villarreal – I think it might be a bit tighter than that.

“They have a squad that can adapt to different styles of play, and are good in all sorts of different situations.

The Argentine tactician then responded to rumours that Chelsea’s Kevin De Bruyne could join them in January.

“Now is not the time to talk about players,” he said. “When the winter comes we are open to players coming and going.”
