Under-fire Miroslav Djukic believes his Valencia team recovered its moral in the 1-0 Europa League victory over Swansea City.
The Serbian boss saw a Dani Parejo goal on 20 minutes avenge the 3-0 defeat suffered at Mestalla in September and declared himself pleased with his team’s performance.
“I’m happy for the players because we have finished first in the group, for the win that allows us to relax, for keeping a clean sheet and for having played a good match.
“In the second half we suffered a bit as they worked very well, but we knew how to defend.
“While it’s true that in La Liga we are not where we want to be, in Europe we are,” he told assembled reporters.
