Real Sociedad boss Jagoba Arrasate was full of praise for Carlos Vela’s four-goal performance in the 4-3 defeat of Celta Vigo.
The Mexican ensured the Basques took all three points by grabbing a hat-trick in 20 second-half minutes to add to his sixth minute opener. It was an individual performance that had the La Real boss purring.
“I had a feeling Carlos was going to have a great match when I saw him on Friday. He’s a fantastic player and it’s normal he has games like he did today.
“He was great, not only because he scored four goals, which is extremely difficult in such a League as the Spanish one, but for his input.
“He was also capable of forcing the dismissal of an opponent and created many chances,” Arrasate told a Press conference, before assessing his side’s comeback from 3-1 down.
“We went into the game feeling good but it’s not easy to play against a team like this. We had several unfortunate moments that caused us to go behind.
“At the time I thought it was unjust but we carried on fighting and searching for the win. In the end we got our reward,” he added.
