Cazorla not happy with Guinea play

Santi Cazorla wasn’t happy with the way Equatorial Guinea played in their 2-1 loss to Spain on Saturday.

The African side went down thanks to goals from the Arsenal man and Juanfran, but the game was marred by several bookings and the sight of Xabi Alonso leaving the field through injury.

“It was a tough game,” he told EFE. “It was very intense and the pitch was not in good condition.

“The important thing though is that we got the victory, and that will give us confidence.

“I thought they played with too much intensity. It is true that they are playing Spain, but it is a friendly match.

“I was just happy to play, and if I can help with a goal, even better.”
