Atletico Madrid have eased concerns over Leo Baptistao’s latest injury scare, reporting that he may be fit for the team’s next match.
The Brazilian youngster was withdrawn midway through the first half of Atleti’s friendly at Cordoba on Thursday evening having suffered a suspected ankle sprain.
Whilst tests carried out on Friday have confirmed this injury, they have also diagnosed it as only a mild sprain.
Atleti report that the player can return to training from next week, so will be in contention for the team’s return to action in Week 14 at home to Getafe.
