Spain have been handed a fitness scare ahead of travelling out to Africa today, with Javi Martinez retiring hurt from training.
La Roja have arrived in Malabo this Friday morning ahead of their friendly against Equatorial Guinea tomorrow afternoon.
In a final training session at Las Rozas before leaving, though, the squad saw Javi Martinez retire early through injury.
The Bayern man suffered discomfort in his left knee whilst exercising and after examination was retired early from the session as a precaution.
