Malaga forward Francisco Portillo has given his full backing to Coach Bernd Schuster despite a string of poor results.
The Costa del Sol outfit have won just one of their last seven games, but the striker has claimed that everyone at the Rosaleda is behind the tactician.
“It’s important to believe in the team. We’re a very close-knit group and have every faith in our coach. We’re all in this together,” he told reporters.
“We really needed to get together. It’s a difficult time at the moment and we wanted to show that we’re a good group and all get on well together.
“At times we may have lacked the right attitude in certain games, but we’re confident in our ability and are all working as hard as possible to achieve our goals.”
