Former Atletico Madrid Coach Luis Aragones believes that Diego Simeone is ‘fundamental’ to their record-breaking start to the season.
The capital club have lost just one game all season at home and in Europe, and the ex-Spain boss has insisted that the Argentine tactician is the reason for their impressive performances.
“Atletico have started very well,” he told AS. “And I think Simeone is fundamental to that.
“He is doing extremely well, but I think the whole club is impressive.
“The team are more than the sum of their parts with Simeone in charge though.
“I think Leagues are won in the last six games, so if Atleti can get to that stage with a chance, who knows what will happen?”
