Olimpic de Xativa President Alfonso Rus has welcomed the challenge of facing Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey, and hopes a full-strength team come to town.
The Segunda Division B have been drawn with Los Blancos in the competition’s Round of 32, much to the delight of their President.
“I am happy, we have won the lottery,” Rus told reporters at the draw today.
“I said at the beginning of the season that we are going to face a team from the Primera Division and it is even better that we face Real Madrid.
“I hope that they play Bale, Cristiano and Casillas.”
Real Madrid sporting director Miguel Pardeza also commented on the pairing for last year’s runners-up.
“The presence of Real Madrid to places they are less accustomed to is good.
“This is a new edition, and the previous one is left behind. We must look to the final and winning it.”
