‘Granada pushed until the last minute’

Lucas Alcaraz praised his Granada side’s resolve to record a third away win of the season, as he hopes they can bring that form back home.

The Andalucians picked up a 1-0 win at Levante on Sunday evening thanks to Piti’s last-minute goal, to add to wins earned on the road earlier this season at Elche and Osasuna.

“The game was more rounded in terms of our ball possession,” reflected Alcaraz afterwards.

“At Elche it was like this in the first half whilst against Osasuna it was different. The team wanted to win until the last minute.

“Levante are a complicated team with a competitive Coach and a competitive workforce.

“The team held up well as they had much of the ball and whilst we risked physical exhaustion, the midfield three contributed a lot.

“The team’s situation is nothing to worry about, but at home between one thing and another we have not been able to get the results.

“We must not look for excuses, but solutions. We must attack our opponent more frequently.”
