Paco Jemez was pleased with the effort of his Rayo Vallecano players despite their 3-2 loss to Real Madrid.
The Franjirrojos came from 3-0 down in the second half, scoring two penalties inside the space of two minutes.
And the Coach congratulated his men, admitting that there was ‘more good than bad’.
“Going down 3-0 to Real Madrid is complicated,” he told a Press conference. “But we tried to get back in the game, and my player produced a phenomenal effort.
“There was definitely more good than bad. But we made some mistakes, and you can’t do that against a team this good.
“I’m very proud of the players and the work they’ve put in here though. For a fairly small team to stand up to the might of Real Madrid is immense.”
