Malaga are reportedly planning opening talks with Sergi Darder to extend his current contract and increase his buyout clause.
The 19-year-old has proven a notable addition to the senior squad this season, having been promoted from the youth ranks over the summer, and has so far managed nine appearances for The Anchovies, including eight starts.
The midfielder’s form has reportedly recently prompted Malaga to open negotiations with his agent to improve his current contract.
Believed to have already started those talks, the Costa del Sol outfit are seen as keen to extend beyond his current deal’s June 2015 expiry, as well as increase his buyout clause from its current €3m level.
Darder is described by AS as equally open at the prospect of a new deal and staying at La Rosaleda.
