Alcaraz ‘preparing to beat’ Atleti

Granada boss Lucas Alcaraz has claimed that he is preparing his side ‘to beat’ Atletico Madrid on Thursday.

The Andalusian team host the capital club tomorrow evening, and the Coach has admitted it will be tough, but he believes his men can come away with all three points.

“Atletico are a team that is being managed very well,” he told a Press conference. “They don’t make it comfortable for whatever opponent they face.

“We have to move the ball quickly, although it’s difficult against a team that endeavours to make sure you don’t do that.

“We’re preparing for the best possible match though. We have some considerable weapons at our disposal, and are hoping for a win.

“The tactical issue is an important one, but so is our fight and willingness to win the second ball.”

Alcaraz then commented on Diego Costa’s decision to play for Spain, not his home nation of Brazil.

“It’s a personal decision. He had the choice between two great teams.”
