Diego Simeone has pointed out that ‘losing is part of the game’ after Atletico Madrid went down to Espanyol.
The capital club lost their 100 per cent start to the season at Cornelia-El Prat yesterday evening thanks to a Thibaut Courtois own goal.
“They took their chances,” he told a Press conference. “The game was closely fought, in the first hard they were very but defensive.
“Koke had a good chance and Diego Costa had another. In the second half they got the goal and we did all we could to draw level.
“This does not hurt because [losing] is part of the game. We understand and we have been saying since we stared that our goal is to go game by game.
“It’s normal when the team losses that they are down, but we are already preparing for the match in Austria.”
