‘My performance doesn’t mean a thing’

Willy Caballero has insisted that his good performance means nothing after Malaga lost to Real Madrid.

Los Blancos beat the Costa del Sol outfit 2-0 on Saturday afternoon thanks to goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Angel Di Maria.

“My performance is no good if we do not win,” he told reporters.

“Sometimes there’s nothing you can do. [Ronaldo’s penalty] was hit so well I couldn’t stop it.”

The goalkeeper was then asked about a potential Argentina call-up.

“Hopefully the Coach will see it that way. I just want to keep playing well for Malaga.”
