Pinto contract to be renewed?

Jose Pinto could lose his place at Barcelona, with reports suggesting that the club may not renew his contract.

The goalkeeper has been a perennial substitute since his arrival in 2008 – playing an able second-fiddle to Victor Valdes.

But much like the No. 1, it seems that his future at Camp Nou is uncertain, with AS claiming that Tata Martino’s men may not offer him a renewal when his current deal ends next June.

Pinto has only played 64 times as a starter for the Blaugrana, but is seen as a vital part of the dressing room in Catalunya.

The same also believe that the veteran could stay on possibly as a third choice keeper, but a definitive decision will be made in the New Year.
