Carlo Ancelotti has named Gareth Bale in a 21-man Real Madrid squad to play Malaga this Saturday.
The Welshman has had his fitness under scrutiny in recent weeks but, after undergoing a mini preseason programme at Valdebebas during the international break, has been passed fit for inclusion for Week 9.
However, there is no place in the squad for Raphael Varane, whose struggles with an inflamed knee have seen him ruled out.
Madrid host Malaga this Saturday afternoon ahead of a midweek clash with Juventus and then Week 10’s trip out to Barcelona for the Clasico.
