Busquets: Osasuna always tough

Sergio Busquets has recognised the challenge Barcelona have in facing Osasuna, ahead of tests with Milan and Real Madrid.

The Catalans face a notable double-header from midweek and into Week 10, but begin domestic action after the international break with a trip out to face Javi Gracia’s men.

“We have only come back in recent days and returned from some long trips,” considered Busquets to reporters this week.

“There are no excuses, but some will not be buzzing. At Pamplona it is always a complicated clash, but we want the three points so as to continue as leaders.

“The Clasico next week? We have to go game by game. It is not easy, but we cannot think of Madrid.

“There is a chance that if we lose focus they could close in on the standings. We cannot be distracted.

“Tata Martino’s rotations? These are decisions of the Coach that must be respected. The season is very long. Whilst the team win, it is good for everyone.”

Wins over Osasuna and Madrid would set a new League record for 10 consecutive wins to begin a season with.

“To do this we must win in Pamplona and against Madrid. Accomplishing this would also give us more distance.

“Records to not ensure titles at the end of the season. We have that gap over Madrid, but we are keeping Atletico in mind too.”

Focus has been on the selection of Undiano Mallenco as referee for Week 10’s Clasico.

“There are games before that, but both Madrid and us want to have a good game and see that he goes unnoticed.”
