Falcao, Perez ‘have agreement’, but…

Punto Pelota suggest Monaco’s Radamel Falcao has principally agreed with Florentino Perez to join Real Madrid next summer, but the player denies contact.

The Colombian only moved in the last transfer market from Atletico Madrid out to the principality but has continually been linked with a subsequent transfer back to the white half of the Spanish capital.

Whilst the player has looked only this week to play down Madrid President Perez’s warm words towards him, speculation is that he has provisionally said yes to a possible transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Punto Pelota allege that Perez met with Falcao a few weeks ago and, whilst specifics to any potential deal were not discussed, the President pressed to see if the striker would be willing to move to Madrid next summer, in spite of his Atleti past.

It is reported that Falcao’s response was positive and that Monaco’s reported changing tax status may present Madrid with favourable conditions with which to negotiate a possible deal come next summer.

However, when cornered by reporters when passing through Madrid airport today, the player has once more look to dispel links.

“I have not spoken to Florentino since I left [in the summer],” he has told Cuatro.

“This is not the moment to talk about this. I am at another club and it does not seem appropriate, out of respect for my club I will not speak.

“Currently I am relaxed and happy at Monaco. My future is that I have a five-year contract in France.

“Florentino’s words? He has every right to say what he thinks and I do not intend any disrespect to anyone.”
