Andres Iniesta has admitted that it was an ‘emotional’ match as Spain beat Georgia on Tuesday evening.
La Roja claimed a 2-0 win over the Eastern Europeans to qualify for the 2014 World Cup. And the midfielder has conceded that it was great to do it in Albacete – the club he started off at as a youth player.
“I felt a very strong emotion this evening,” he told reporters. “There was a mutual appreciation between the crowd and myself.
“It was a great day to go to Brazil. We are all very happy.”
