Iniesta, Inigo in line for Georgia

Inigo Martinez could be in line for a start for Spain on Tuesday evening, whilst Andres Iniesta is expected to start back in his home region.

La Roja close out their 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign by hosting Georgia in Albacete, with Iniesta expected to start the affair in his native region.

Alongside the Barcelona midfielder, who was on the bench for Friday’s win over Belarus, Real Sociedad’s Inigo Martinez is speculated as set for a start.

Inigo is seen as in line for a start with uncertainty currently surrounding the condition of Sergio Ramos and Gerard Pique, who both sat out Sunday evening’s training with muscle discomfort.

Pique is seen as a greater doubt to make Tuesday’s game, opening up for Inigo to feature alongside Ramos.

Alvaro Arbeloa also worked in the gym for a similar reason and could be replaced by Juanfran Torres, whilst Alberto Moreno is speculated as set to start at left-back for his debut.

Alvaro Negredo is believed in contention to displace Michu as the side’s single striker, although further aspects to Spain’s probable line-up will only really be drawn from later workouts.
