According to Marca, Real Madrid will continue to extend its worldwide corporate image and the next location chosen is India.
Former Madrid players such as Fernando Morientes, Fernando Hierro and Martin Vazquez have already played major roles in negotiating agreements, which would initially see a number of games played in India by a team consisting of Real Madrid old boys.
These would include the likes of Hierro, Luis Figo, Michel Salgado and Morientes, while there is also a veterans’ Clasico between Madrid and Barcelona planned.
It is understood there has also been further interest in setting up football schools across the vast country, similar to those already up and running in Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.
