Spanish daily Marca have claimed that Gareth Bale is suffering from a slipped disc in his back.
The Wales international has only played twice since his record-breaking move from Tottenham over the summer.
And the Madrid-based newspaper have confirmed that is because the attacker has been diagnosed with a slipped disc in his L5 – S1 vertebrate, and a bulge in his L4 – L5.
It won’t keep him on the sidelines any longer for Los Blancos, but further down the line it could require surgery.
Bale himself though, has insisted that he is feeling no pain.
