Sergio Ramos has reflected on the benefit of home advantage as he outlines Spain’s intentions to reach the World Cup finals.
La Roja see out their 2014 qualification phase this week with home matches against Belarus and Georgia, with Group I very much in their hands.
“We really want to qualify for the World Cup, there are few things that can equal being at a World Cup in the game and we look forward to being there,” Ramos mused to reporters today.
“It is always an added bonus when playing in Spain. The public are incredible with the national team and we are very grateful.
“Their support and enthusiasm is noticeable anywhere and now we have these two games to enjoy and for the public to see the team a little closer.
“Belarus? We know them. They are a team that defends very well, whilst they could provide a surprise.
“The thing we cannot lack is the ambition, desire and our philosophy.”
