Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has praised this weekend’s opponents Celta Vigo, calling them ‘a team with an identity’.
The capital club have enjoyed a record-breaking start to the season, winning their first seven matches of the campaign.
But the Argentine Coach is wary of playing the Celestes tomorrow afternoon.
“Celta Vigo have a good idea of the way they want to play,” he told a Press conference. “They’ve got a great Coach and play with a defined identity.
“We cannot afford start this match with tranquillity because they will punish us.
“They are a team characterised by good combinations all over the pitch – with the likes of Nolito, Charles and Khron Dehli.
“They did well against Betis, so we’ll have to be at our best to counter them.
“I always go into a game looking to play the players that will win us the game, regardless of whether we need to rest.
“The hardest thing in football is to keep humility and maintain a collective effort. When a team does this, then they can go far. We have strengths and weaknesses like any team.
“But with every game we are improving and growing as a unit.”
