Lucas Alcaraz has claimed that a tough fixture schedule has conspired against his Granada side as they went down to Villarreal.
The Andalusian team lost 3-0 to the Yellow Submarine on Friday evening, but the Coach has claimed that four games in 12 days is too much for his men.
“It was not a good match but there have been extenuating circumstances,” he told a Press conference.
“We played on Monday and then on Friday, and all that after playing Wednesday and Sunday the previous week.
“I don’t want to find excuses though because they were better than us.
“But when you play four games in such a short space of time, something has to give.”
