The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) have today confirmed that Vicente del Bosque will name his latest Spain squad on Friday.
La Roja close out their World Cup qualification campaign in October with two home games against Belarus and Georgia.
Del Bosque’s side are currently level with France at the top of Group I, but lead courtesy of goal difference and have played a game less.
Maintaining at least that advantage or securing a minimum of four points next month will guarantee Spain top spot and automatic qualification through to the finals in Brazil next summer.
Speculation is that the RFEF have applied to FIFA for confirmation that they can consider Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa, despite him having represented Brazil twice this year in friendlies.
Friday will also see Julen Lopetegui confirm the Under-21 selection for 2015 European Under-21 Championship qualifiers against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary.
